Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to book?

Access to the adventure golf course is subject to availability. Should the golf course be busy when you arrive the Smugglers team will work hard to allow you access as soon as possible. There are plenty of other things to do in the area while you wait for a slot. For group booking of 12 or more, please complete our enquiry form on our group bookings page or email smugglerscove@bcpcouncil.gov.uk. You can always call ahead, and we'll be happy to assist you further.

How can I pay?

Card payments only. We do not accept any gold coins.

What time should I arrive for my booked slot of golf?

We kindly ask all players to arrive 15 minutes before your booking so we can make sure you are all set and ready for tee off.

How many holes is it?

It's an 18-hole mini golf course filled with contraband and great hiding spots! It takes about 45 minutes to play the course, this will vary depending on the size of your group and how busy the course is.

Do I need to bring my own putter and golf ball?

No, the Smugglers will provide you with all the equipment you need for your round of golf including your very own recyclable scorecard to keep score. There are different length putters for children and adults.

What age is Smugglers Cove Adventure Golf suitable for?

Smugglers Cove Adventure Golf is suitable for all ages. Young smugglers (under 12’s)are welcome to join the fun as long as they're supervised by an adult.

Can I get a refund after a booking has been made?

After a payment has been made we do not issue any refunds for cancellation.

I've tried to book online but there are no slots available?

We recommend booking online to secure your round of mini golf, especially during peak seasons. However, we have limited the number of slots for online bookings so that we can also welcome walk-ins. If you have a booking please make the staff aware.

Are dogs allowed on the course?

Unfortunately dogs are not permitted on the course.

Is Smugglers Cove Adventure Golf wheelchair accessible?

All the golf holes can be accessed and played by anyone in a wheelchair. Should you require any specific information regarding accessibility please do not hesitate to contact us before your visit. Nearest disabled parking is Bath Road Car Park (BH1 2EW) and disabled toilets nearby at Bournemouth Pier. Please ask the team to borrow a radar key for access.

Is the course open when it's dark?

The dark evenings are perfect for hiding contraband for all smugglers, so we'll be open in the evenings where possible. Please note that opening times are always subject to change.

Do you have anywhere to hide goods?

We are unable to store any loot but we don’t mind you carrying around a back pack and you can easily push around a pram. Items can be left on one of our decking area at own risk.

Do you have toilets?

There are toilets situated nearby in the Pier Approach area. Disabled toilets are also available, please check with our Smugglers Cove team for access. There are nearby toilets with baby changing facilities towards Bournemouth pier.

Do you host birthday parties, hen parties, corporate events, school visits etc?

Yes! The course is a distinctive and exciting venue to host your next group event. Check out our group bookings page and complete our enquiry form and the team will be in touch to answer any questions you may have.

How do I get to Smugglers Cove Adventure Golf?

One of the most efficient ways of lowering our environmental impact is by travelling responsibly. We encourage choosing a more sustainable way to visit us, either by walking, cycling or using public transport when you can. Most of the local buses arrive/depart from Bournemouth Square, meaning we are a just a short stroll away through the gardens. Beryl bike bays are located on either side of the course and if you have your own bike, you can dock it up using one of the bike racks on Pier Approach. If you choose to drive, the nearest car park is Bath Road South Car Park, postcode BH1 2EW. Should this be full of rival ships there are other docking areas in Bournemouth.

Do you offer student discount?

Yes, to claim discount each ticket holder must be able to present student photo ID with a valid expiry date upon arrival.

Do you sell gift vouchers

Yes, pop in anytime to get your voucher or call 01202 126099 or 01202 123800. You can also email us smugglerscove@bcpcouncil.gov.uk and the team will pre-load your voucher and post it to the preferred address.
